Academic Council
The Academic Council is the statutory authority of the University, which regulates the teaching and examination in the University and is responsible for the maintenance of the education standards there of. The Academic Council consists of the following members, besides the Vice-Chancellor as the Chairman.

The Academic Council meets once in six months to discuss important academic matters.
Board of Studies
There are six faculties viz., Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, Home Science, Forestry and Post Graduate Education functioning at TNAU. Each faculty has a Board of Studies which proposes courses of study of various programmes offered in the faculty and curricula of the University and advises the Academic Council with regard to the syllabi of the various undergraduate and post graduate degree programmes. Extension Education Council
