of Education
The pattern of instruction
and evaluation in the University is the "Semester Course
Credit system". An enrolled student in order to earn a
Bachelor's Degree should complete the course credits
prescribed from time to time and shall have earned a
minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 6.50 out of
10.00. In addition to the above, the student shall, in the
judgment of the Faculty, possess good moral habits and high
standard of honesty.
A. Fees
and Deposits:
As per the University norms, each selected candidate is
required to pay fees as follows according to the institute
to which they are allotted.
1. At
the time of Counseling at TNAU, the candidates, if
provisionally selected, need to pay a non refundable
counseling fee of Rs.2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for SC/ ST).
2. Fees
For Science Programs :
Approximately Rs. 6275, which is subject to revision and as stipulated by the Rules and Regulations of the University.
This fee is applicable to Constituent Colleges of TNAU for
the degrees, B.Sc.(Agriculture), B.Sc.(Horticulture),
B.Sc.(Forestry), B.Sc.(Home Science) and
B.Tech.(Agricultural Engineering).
3. Fees For Technology Programs :
Approximately
Rs. 31275, which is subject to revision and as stipulated by the Rules and Regulations of the University.
This fee is applicable to B.Tech.(Biotechnology),
B.Tech.(Horticulture), B.Tech.(Food Process Engineering),
B.Tech.(Energy and Environmental Engineering),
B.Tech.(Bioinformatics), B.Tech.(Agricultural Information
Technology) and B.S.(Agribusiness Management).
Fees once paid are non-refundable after registration of courses.
4. NRI
quota / International Students : USD 2100/- per
Semester

Scholarships
Scholarships and fee
concessions such as Adi Dravida Welfare Scholarships,
Central Government Scholarships, State Government Free
Education for Student from Non-Graduate Family, Periyar
Endowment Scholarships, Kokilavani, Hemalatha and Gayathri
Scholarships and the Indian Council of Agricultural
Research, New Delhi fellowships and scholarships from other
agencies are available for the benefit of deserving
enrolled candidates. These may vary according to the
college to which they are admitted.
C. Facilities
i) Hostels
are available in each campus with full WiFi hotspots, the messes being run by
students on a dividing system basis. All students are
expected to reside in the hostel attached to the Colleges.
The Dean is empowered to permit students to be day
scholars.
ii) A
Students Centre with Playground, Fitness Center, Indoor
stadium, Canteen is present in each campus to provide scope
for extra-curricular activities such as sports, literary
and social service activities.
