A modern Wi-Fi Zone funded by ICAR is functioning in front of the library.  Wi-Fi Facility is provided for students to download online resources on 24X7.

Library database has over 2.5 lakh records including constitutional college library holdings connecting in the form of Web OPAC through Koha Software. The automated environment facilitates integrated library services for the users. Users are benefited at large scale by using these services at their own departments and they can reserve the materials.  Web OPAC enables the users to know the status of books borrowed by them with all other relevant information.

Remote Access

The University Library implemented the Remote XS  middleware software for remote access of electronic resources. This allows users to gain secure remote access of all online license electronic resources and the Digital Repositories in 24X7. Seamless access to the resources with simple navigation is enabling the users to use the information. The usage statistics of e- resources increased manifold and TNAU holds the First place in CeRA usage among the State Agricultural Universities for the year 2016.

Digital Collection

Under e-Granth project of ICAR,  the theses and dissertations were digitized. Currently full texts of over 1500 theses are digitized. Very old and valuable documents of the libraries were identified and digitized under the project. So far 7.8 lakhs pages of documents were digitized and hosted at ICAR Krishikosh portal http://krishikosh.ac.in. TNAU is one of the content partner in the National Digital Library (NDL).

New Arrival

The books purchased for the Library are classified under Colon Classification system. After the technical processing, they are displayed for 15 days in the “NEW ARRIVALS” area. Then those books will be scheduled for lending. The well designed OPAC is provided to the users for getting the information about the availability of the book in the Library. Books are shelved according to their Classification number.

E-Gate Register

E-Gate Register is installed in the Library and the users of the Library are asked to scan the Bar coded ID card or put their fingerprint for maintaining the attendance every day.

E-Resource Centre

E-Resource centre is most widely used for accessing on-line Journals, e-books, e-database, searching web OPAC, accessing Internet. The centre is Air Conditioned and equipped with fifty (50) computers and high bandwidth Internet Connectivity.

Lecture Hall

University Library lecture hall is available for meetings, classes, and events of less than 100 people. It can also be configured for Group Discussion.
