The Library at Centre for Plant Molecular Biology was established by receiving funding support from PG Education and training programme leading to M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology since 1989. It has a wide collection of Books and Journals in the frontier area of Life Sciences- Biotechnology including Plant tissue culture techniques, Gene cloning and transformation, Molecular markers and crop improvement, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbial genetics, Synthetic Biology, Biotic and Abiotic stress improvement, Genomics , Proteomics, Metabolomics, Next Generation sequencing platforms, Environmental Biotechnology, Programming languages, Bionformatics including Gene Annotation, Prediction, Modeling, Practical guides, Instant notes , MCQ, Books for Competitive exams etc..
The Library has a collection of 1042 Foreign edition Books, 581 Indian edition Books, 31 e – books, 35 journals and 20 Newsletters from different publishers which includes the current year (2018-2019) purchase of 98 Foreign edition Books, 31 e books, 4 journals and 2 Newsletters.
