The Department of Agricultural Engineering was established in 2022 as one of the departments in the Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, Trichy. The department faculty teaches courses viz., Farm machinery and power, Bio-energy, Agricultural Processing, Soil and water conservation engineering. The basic focus on the subjects is to give hands on practice to the students on the engineering concepts applied in the field of agriculture in-order to improve productivity, control cost of cultivation and labour problems.
The department staff strength includes teaching faculty in relevant specialization, and estate office with Executive Engineer (Civil) and skilled artisans. The estate office takes care of all the civil, mechanical and electrical related works in the college.
