About Conference

The International Conference on Agrovoltaics and Sustainability in Farming is being organized by the Agricultural Engineering College and Research Institute of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, an ISO 21001:2018 Certified Institution, in collaboration with Teesside University, UK, under the SPARC-UKIERI scheme. The conference is scheduled to take place on 5th – 6th August 2025 and will be conducted in Hybrid mode.

This conference aims to unite leading experts, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to explore the intersection of solar energy technology and sustainable agriculture. Serving as a vital platform for advancing agrovoltaic systems, the conference will focus on the integration of agricultural production with photovoltaic energy generation, promoting a dual-use approach to land that enhances resource efficiency and environmental sustainability. Agrivoltaics, the innovative approach at the core of this discussion, allows for the coexistence and interaction of solar energy generation and agricultural practices in a mutually beneficial manner, fostering shared value within local communities. By encouraging dialogue, collaboration, and innovation, the conference seeks to drive global advancements in agrovoltaics, contributing to a more sustainable and resilient agricultural future, while also emphasizing the importance of renewable energy sources, sustainable land use, and biodiversity protection.

Accommodation

Accommodations will be available for participants on a payment basis, with several guest houses located conveniently near the conference venue offering comfortable lodging options.
