Plant Pathology is one of the important disciplines of agricultural science which deals with the principles and practices for the integrated management of plant diseases by various methods for the improvement of crop yield. This department is carrying out research on various fields of Plant Pathology viz., bio-control of plant diseases, Plant virology and Plant molecular Plant Pathology and edible Mushrooms. The major mandate of the department includes teaching for UG, PG and Ph.D programmes, conducting research for plant disease management and extension activities. The department is well equipped with field and laboratory facilities with all sophisticated instruments. The Department has the privilege of having the fleet of most experienced and dedicated faculty members with diversified areas of specialization.
