About Department
The Department of Plant Protection was established at Horticultural College and Research Institute, Periyakulam during the Academic council’s 139th meeting held on 30.04.2019 has approved. The main occupations are teaching the students of UG programmes, about plant protection technologies, formulating research programmes to resolve the field associated farmer’s problems of this region and to distribute knowledge to the farmers and extension functionaries on pest, diseases and nematodes problems in horticultural crops
