Objective of the Course

Genomics research has advanced remarkably during last decade as a results of revolutionary breakthroughs in sequencing genome of many organisms, deciphering functional importance of genes, useful in genome editing etc. In this training, various techniques related to sequence driven research will be taught. The program has been designed with an objective to develop trained human resource on various techniques related to NGS analysis, annotation of genomic, comparative genomics, variants calling, and development to high throughput genotyping markers.

The programme intends to impart hands on training to the participants on next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis pertaining to whole genome techniques, genome assembly and annotation, molecular marker discovery, comparative genomics etc
