E-YUVA centre of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University organized the second lecture of the entrepreneurship lecture series on 21st July 2023. Mrs. R. Shubhadhra, Founder and CEO, PVR Foods, Coimbatore delivered the lecture on the topic, “Government schemes and how to raise funding for your dream business”.
In her lecture, she clearly explained the various funding options available for startups namely debt financing, equity financing and grants. She further explained the different stages of startup funding such as pre-seed stage, early traction, venture capital funds, etc., and various scale-up funds. She elucidated various key elements such as business model, management team, marketing landscape, detailed financial projections, scalability and sustainability, etc. which investors look for in startups. She narrated the inspiring stories of self-made entrepreneurs,

She also shared her entrepreneurial journey in brief and explained her experience of raising funds for her own venture. She concluded by emphasizing the importance of Startup India Mission in the growth of Indian startups. Forty students of B. Sc. (Hons.) (Agriculture), B. Tech. (Biotechnology) and B. Tech. (Food Technology) attended the lecture.
