Objective of the Course
The training is designed to help participants understand genome editing in crop plants
Target Content
The Programme intends to impart hands on training to the participants on the following
-
- Design guide RNAs for target gene in plants
- Clone the guide RNAs into CRISPR/Cas9 vector – confirmation by restriction digestion and DNA sequencing
- Mobilization of plant transformation vector into Agro bacterium
- Agro bacterium-mediated rice transformation
- Molecular analysis of mutant plants
Target Participants
The participants (approximately 25 Nos) include faculty/scientists,UG,PG,Ph.D students of TNAU and other Institutions from Life science stream.
