MALDI-TOF MS is one of the most potent proteomics methods that can be used for protein marker/biological markers discovery and helps breeders for selecting suitable cultivars adapted under diverse biotic and abiotic stresses/ different developmental stages. It is used for identification of bacterial species, viruses, fungi and parasites. It provides precise, quick, easy and comprehensive information on new species and novel plant proteins.
