Hands on Training in High throughput Analysis of Protein: MALDI TOF

MALDI-TOF MS is one of the most potent proteomics methods that can be used for protein marker/biological markers discovery and helps breeders for selecting suitable cultivars adapted under diverse biotic and abiotic stresses/ different developmental stages. It is used for identification of bacterial species, viruses, fungi and parasites. It provides precise, quick, easy and comprehensive information on new species and novel plant proteins. The training programme has been designed to develop trained human resource on basics of MALDI TOF, its software and hardware; sample preparation, analysis and interpretation of analysed data

Target Participant

The participants (approximately 20 Nos) include faculty/scientists and students of PG, PhD from TNAU and other institutions of national level from Life Science stream. The registration fee is Rs. 2000/- + 18 % GST per participant totally (2360).

Training Content

The programme intends to impart hands on training to the participants on basics of MALDI TOF, sample preparation and analysis, interpretation of analysed data etc
