Floriculture is undergoing remarkable development in recent days. It is playing a major role in the domestic as well as international floriculture scenario.

The Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture of TNAU, Coimbatore is operating with the overall goal of teaching floriculture and landscaping subjects to UG and PG students of TNAU, undertaking research on aspects of national and international significance and disseminating floriculture technologies to the stakeholders including flower growers, entrepreneurs, researchers and garden enthusiasts.

At present, the Department is involved in renovation of the 112 year old Botanical Garden which is of immense educational and heritage values.

The educational, research and extension activities of the Department are aiming at promoting Floricultural research and development in the state and upgrade it to keep pace with the global requirements.
