Our KVK won the BEST STALL AWARD at The farmers Day held at TNAU in 2010-11, 2009-10 & 2000-2001 for displaying the latest technologies effectively and convincing the farmers about them.

Our KVK acheive the highest Revolving Fund generation for the year 2009-10.

Best farmer award

Mr Dharmalingam, Progressive farmer from Nalikalpatti village trained at KVK has been awarded as “BEST FARMER AWARD AT STATE LEVEL” for his outstanding contribution in hybrid rice seed production in 2009-10 in Farmers day held at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.

Best Farmer Award – Salem District 

Best innovation by farmer – Cagewheel conoweeder

Mr Shanmugasundaram, another progressive contact farmer of KVK has developed a modified “Cagewheel conoweeder” for System Rice Intensification. His innovation has been selected for award in the “National Innovators Conference” held at Mysore in 2009-10.

 Award for School Children

Students from Vinayaga Vidyalaya jointly did project work with our KVK on “Impact of SRI among the farmers of Salem Dt.” and won the Best Project Award at District level.

Appreciation for enrolling more farmers in Valarum Velanmai

Our KVK has insisted the importance of reading leading magazines in agriculture and have enrolled in 2010-11, 562 annual members and 17 life members. During technology week alone, 266 farmers were benefitted for free subscription to Valarum Velanmai through sponsoring agencies. This was appreciated by the Vice Chancellor
