The -Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Sirugamani sponsored by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Govt. of India was established at in Thiruchirapalli District, Tamil Nadu in the year 1977 with the major objective of Transfer of Technology in agriculture and allied fields. The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University is the host organization of the KVK. This was the first KVK started in Tamil Nadu.
