- Breeding and evolving high yielding varieties of flower crops viz., Jasmine, Tuberose, Nerium, Rose, Marigold, Celosia, Chrysanthemum, Gomphrena, Crossandra etc.,
- Collection and Evaluation of under exploited ornamentals (Heliconia, Alpiniaand Bird of Paradise etc;) for cut flowers with longer vase life along with high degree of resistance to pests and diseases
- To study the possibility of growing flower crops as inter crops in the already existing coconut and banana cropping systems.
- To standardize the off season production technology for flower crops.
