Department of Plant Pathology of the Anbil Dharmalingam Agricultural College and Research Institute, Trichy was started during the year 2022. The courses on Plant Pathology being offered to B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture. The Post Graduate programme for Research also started in 2022. The department offers courses on Fundamentals of Plant Pathology, Principles of Integrated Disease management, Disease of Field and Horticultural crops and their Management, Commercial Mushroom Production Technologies. Besides, the department is also actively organizing many capacity building programmes to the entrepreneurs and needy stakeholders. The department is also disseminating the technologies to the Farmers, Farm women, SHGs, FPOs and NGOs. It also facilitates the effective transfer of Plant Protection Technologies as farm advisory services and providing weather linked disease forecasting advisories to the important crops.
