Renewables are the green, resilient and sustainable energy sources. India has copious potential in most of the forms of renewable resources viz., solar, wind and biomass.
Department of Renewable Energy Engineering involves in technology development for the effective harnessing of renewable energy and its utilization mainly in agricultural sector. Our research areas are focused on the generation of energy as well as chemical and bio products from biological resources.
The undergraduate (B.Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering)) and postgraduate (M.Tech. and Doctoral) programmes; funded International & National research projects and outreach programmes for technology dissemination are the puissance of the department.
The department’s success story has chapters on Alumni at various global and national organizations, deeper penetration of developed technologies in promising areas and structured extension activities. We are committed to serving the society to facilitate eco-friendly and sustainable living conditions, through our technological interventions.
