Education

The specific objective in education is to impart knowledge on various aspects of renewable energy. This objective in education is taken care of by suitable formulation of courses and fine-tuning of course contents according to the need and development of the technology.  Courses are being offered to Under graduate programmes on B.Tech. (Energy and Environmental Engineering), B.S.(Hons.)(Agriculture), and B.S.(Hons) (Horticulture), Masters and Doctoral levels include all aspects of renewable energy sources such as assessment, conservation, conversion and management and supported by relevant practical experiments.

The post graduate student’s thesis research is designed to address the farmers’ problems and industries pertain to renewable energy sector. The students are encouraged to publish their thesis work in peer‐reviewed high impact factor journals, which resulted in wider opportunities for the students to continue their research in advance institutes. The master degree students have been awarded with MNRE fellowship, TNAU student JRF and TNAU Merit Scholarship during their research period. The Ph.D degree students obtain fellowship like Inspire-DST fellowship, CSIR fellowship, UGC fellowship, ICAR fellowship, TNAU student SRF and PM fellowship during their research period.
