TANII/CPBG/CBE/MIL/2016/D001 | Revitalization of millets for nutritional security and enhanced productivity | Dr. P. Parasuraman, Professor and Head &
Dr. K. Ananthi, AP(CRP) |
2016-2019 | Two processing units were installed in Mottur Village, Kalasappakkam block and Melputhiyandal village, Nallavan palayan post, Tiruvannamalai block for total 10 lacks expenditure. During 2016-2019, 45 acres for seed production and 200 acres for FLD with varagu, samai, tenai and panivaragu crop sowing were taken at Kalasappakkam and Tiruvannamalai block. Four field days and four farmers training (2 days) were conducted at Kalasappakkam and Tiruvannamalai block. The totally 400 farmers were benefited during this programme (On going). |
PPV/FRA/CPBG/CBE/MIL/2015/R009 | DUS testing for small millets | Dr. A. Nirmalakumari, Professor (PBG) | Continuous scheme from 2017-2018 | The test cultures in all six small millets have been evaluated as per the guidelines along with the reference entries. The eight DUS trials in six small millets have been conducted and the data were submitted for compilation to the PC Unit (On going). |
DCM/ATL/AGR/SMM/2018/CP049 | Performance of Koda millet based intercropping system in irrigated and rainfed eco systems | Dr. P. Parasuraman, Professor and Head & Dr. K. Ananthi AP(CRP) | 2018-19 | Larger weed population was observed in paired row varagu + groundnut (1:1) and growth parameters were positively influenced with this paired row system. Similarly, highest values of physiological parameters, yield attributes and yield were recorded in paired row. But, economically, the highest net return and BC ratio of Rs. 74698 / ha and 3.61, respectively was realized with sole varagu + greengram (1:1) followed by sole varagu + groundnut (1:1) (Rs. 68948/ha) (On going) |
CPBG/ATL/PBG/SMM/2018CP048 | Genetic Enhancement of Small Millet crops for drought tolerance with climate resilience and high nutritional properties | Dr. A. Nirmalakumari, Professor (PBG), Dr. P. Parasuraman, Professor and Head
Dr. M. Rajesh, AP(PAT) & Dr. K. Ananthi, AP(CRP) |
2018-20 | Evaluation trials in all six small millet crops were evaluated for yield and yield attributes. The promising advanced cultures were selected for drought screening, pest and disease resistance and multi-environment analysis for their yield stability (On going) |
V60 IF | VCS Scheme on “ Production of Talk based Trichoderma viride | Dr. M. Rajesh, Asst. Professor (PAT) | 2018-19 | Action have been initiated to produce bio agents |
