About the Department
The Department of Crop Management constituting the disciplines of Agronomy, Soil Science, Environmental Science, Microbiology, Crop Physiology and Agricultural Engineering was started on 01.06.2019 with the following mandate
- To offer courses for undergraduate B.Sc.(Agri.) degree programme.
- To conduct inter disciplinary research for solving the location specific problems for the different ecological situations in Pudukkottai and neighbouring districts particularly in the drought mitigation.
- To organize technology transfer through training of farmers and in collaboration with the State Agricultural Department of Tamil Nadu.
