Research field                       

An area of 19.72 ha of field (western block) is allotted exclusively to the Department of Vegetable Science for conducting field experiments. The entire cropping area is equipped with drip irrigation facilities. In addition, one no. each of naturally ventilated polyhouse (209 m2), shade net house (113 m2), glass house (61.5 m2) and vermicompost unit are available in the western block for conducting various experiments.

Seed Technology laboratory:

Seed processing equipments for vegetable seed grading viz. tomato and chilli seed extractors, seed drier, seed grader and specific gravity separator and seed testing equipments viz., seed sampling equipments and seed germinator are available in the Seed Technology laboratory for conducting practical classes for UG degree programme.
