Anti Ragging Cell
In pursuance of the Judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 08.05.2009 in Civil Appeal No. 887/2009, the University Grants Commission has framed “UGC Regulations on curbing the menace of ragging in higher educational institutions, 2009” which have been notified on 4 th July, 2009 in the Gazette of India. Agricultural College and Research Institute, Eachangkottai follows regulations and subsequent guidelines of UGC issued in letter and spirit as below.
The Anti-ragging squad entertains formal complaints on ragging on or off the campus. The Anti-ragging committee enquires into the matters and submits its report to the Vice- Chancellor of the University for imposition of punishment as per provisions of the Tamil Nadu Anti-Ragging Act, the directives of the Supreme Court and the Regulations of UGC.
In view of starting of B.Sc [Hons.] Agri. Programme at AC & RI, Eachangkottai, Thanjavur, an anti-ragging committee is constituted as below. In Case of any complaint or seeking guidance, the students are requested to contact the committee members in person or through phone or through mail.
