Laboratories
Agricultural College and Research Institute, Eachangkottai has 15 laboratories catering the need of teaching and research requirements for UG programme. The Farm complex includes 25.4 ha of cultivable land with well connected irrigation grid. Farm implements, tractors and power tillers are available for carrying out field preparation and intercultural operations. A Biogas unit, Poulty shed, Cattle shed, Piggery, Goat unit are also available for teaching and demonstration purpose. Three farm ponds are also available to collect the runoff water.
Agricultural College and Research Institute has 15 fully equipped laboratories plus one Class ‘B’ Meterological observatory to conduct practical classes to the UG students. The UG students are trained individually in handling scientific equipments during practical classes of various disciplines of Under Graduate programme.
