National Service Scheme (NSS)
NSS unit of Agricultural College and Research Institute, Eachangkottai have been initiated and successfully running from 13.11.2014 with 52 volunteers and rose to 139 volunteers in the academic year 2019-2020. In order to create awareness about various social issues from grass root level, two Government Schools at Karamanithoppu and Eachangkottai villages were adopted.
As a part of NSS regular activities based on the PRAs conducted at Karamanithoppu and Eachangkottai villages cleaning and awareness services rendered to the villages which includes, 14 Awareness campaigns, 21 Awareness lectures, 10 rallies, six national days, eleven International days, three National weeks and two cleaning fortnights (swatch bharath summer internship)
