Agro Climate Research Centre

PG Degree Program

PG and Ph.D programme in Agrometeorology are being offered since 2004 and 2011 with the objectives to strengthen and foster the agricultural meteorological science through research activities relevant to the state and the country and to provide manpower to the Agromet division of IMD, TNAU, ICAR, SAU’s, national services organizations and corporate sector. Students are given hands on training on basic manual observation, Automated instruments, crop weather modeling, high computing server, Climate Control Chamber studies. About 70% of passed out students have well placed in renowned national and international institutes. The other 30% are working as research fellows in SAUs.
