One day training programmes are being conducted on
hi-tech horticulture, agriculture and allied subjects to urban peoples, entrepreneurs, unemployed graduates, students, NGOs, SHGS, corporate, etc. in the following area.
- Kitchen/Nutritional gardening
- Roof gardening
- Landscape gardening
- Flower arrangement and bouquet making
- Indoor plants care and maintenance
- Bonsai making
- Millet Production techniques and processing
- Dry flower making
- Medicinal plants production and marketing
- Organic farming
- Preparation of Spicy products
- Fruits and vegetables preservation
- Preparation of Millet products
- Mushroom cultivation
- Composting techniques
- Urban solid waste management
- Preparation of Bakery products
- Preparation of ready mix foods
- Preparation of soups and salads
- Chocolate and Ice cream making
- Preparation of Sweets and Savories
- Herbal cookery
Six training programmes per month are being organized encompassing any of these subjects. On public demand for particular topic additional trainings will be organized accordingly. The monthly training schedule will be posted in TNAU website (http://sites.tnau.ac.in/itc/) as well as through English and Tamil dailies. The participants are also encouraged to register their names well in advance either over phone or through mail or in person. Each participant is issued a certificate on completion of the training programme. A nominal fee in accordance with the University norms will be collected from each participant and will be provided with course materials, training kit, refreshment including lunch.

- We will provide note pad, pen, Training Manual and participation certificate
