Institute of Agriculture, Vamban, Pudukkottai is the only constituent Institute of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offering Diploma (Agriculture) programme in Tamil medium to produce highly competitive and knowledgeable Diploma (Agriculture) candidates. The Institute of Agriculture, Vamban, Pudukkottai was established as a constituent educational institution of the prestigious Tamil Nadu Agricultural University at STAMIN campus, Kudumiyanmalai, Pudukkottai on 28.09.2012. The Institute was shifted to National Pulses Research Centre campus, Vamban on 11.02.2016. The campus is located at a distance of 12 km from Pudukkottai. This campus has been extended in an area of 257.5 acres of experimental farm with well established infrastructural facilities for academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Goals
This institute aims to develop Diploma (Agriculture) candidates to assist the agricultural research, to disseminate the technologies to farming community of the state, to become successful entrepreneurs in agro based industries and to serve the agriculture society
