| Poultry unit (Cage System)
Indigenous chicken breeds such as Aseel, Kadaknath and improved breed Giriraja, Namakal Chicken 1 are being maintained in this unit. Trainings were offered to the farmers, farm women rural youths and Self Help Groups. Provided supplementary income and protein supplement to the rural people. |

Small Scale Incubator
Small hatchery unit is established for hatching poultry eggs for the benefit of farming community. There is a problem among the farmers to get broody hen in all season. Hen brooding is a problem in Turkey, Japanese quail and Improved breeds Giriraja, vanaraja and Rhodo white chick. Trainings were offered to the farmers, farm women rural youths and Self Help Groups |

| Fodder bank
Cumbu Napier grass(CO4), guinea grass(COG3) fodder sorghum (COFS29) and Co FS 31. Hedge lucerne, Lucerne, kolukkattai grass and para grass are being maintained at KVK farm. Training programmes are being offered for cultivation of forage crops. so for more than 500 farmers visited the fodder bank unit. |

Desi poultry unit
Desi Poultry unit established at KVK, Salem. The unit will teach the farmers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders how to rear the desi birds in the small area as part of IFS system. |
