- In
standardization of soil medium for production of sturdy rice seedling suitable
for machine transplanting,media
with 70 % soil + 20 % well decomposed FYM + 10 % rice hull + DAP @ 2 g/kg of
soil + Vermicompost @ 100 g/tray + Azophos 4 g/ kg of soil was recorded higher
seedling growth and yield. Seeding @ 20 kg/ha recorded maximum seedling growth
and grain yield. It was on par with seed rate of 15 kg/ha. Soil alone with 20
kg/ha was on par with media with 10 kg/ha.
- Sowing of
blackgram 5-7 days before the harvest of rice and adoption of seed rate with 35
kg /ha could be considered as a better option for achieving higher productivity
and profitability of rice fallow blackgram in combine harvested rice field.
