Facilities
The Department of Agronomy is offering UG and PG courses. PG laboratory measuring on area of 1133 sq ft is provided with the facilities / equipments hot air oven, calorimeter, digital weighing balances, nitrogen distillation, Willey mill, digital moisture meter, water bath, double distillation unit, pH meter, EC meter, lux meter mechanical shaker to analyze soil and plant N, P and K contents. Two field labs are available with the department located one in ‘B’ block and another in ‘D’ block. Field lab in ‘B’ block is used for the conduct of practical classes for UG students in respect of courses related to Crop production, Cropping & Farming system and Animal husbandry. Field lab in ‘D’ block with a seating capacity of 50, located near the meteorological observatory serve as a platform for conduct of practical courses related to Fundamentals of Agronomy & Agricultural Meteorology. Specimen samples of seeds, fertilizers, model tools and implements, weed photo album and meteorological instruments are kept available at this field lab.
