About Department
The Department of Human Development had its inception in 2002 at Home Science College and Research Institute, Madurai. The department has laboratory crèche for B.Sc. (Home Science) and M.Sc. (Human Development and Family Dynamics), M.Sc. (Food Science and Nutrition) programmes. The laboratory crèche serves as a day care center catering to the needs of children of 1½ to 3 years of farm women, teaching faculty and children from nearby villages. Post – Graduate programme in M.Sc.(Human Development and Family Dynamics) got its initiation from the academic year 2012.
