Crop Management

1.Rice

  • Spraying DAP @ 2% at panicle initiation and flowering stage is found to be effective in rice
  • Application of Sofit @ 500 g/ha registered high weed control
  • Azophos + NPK increase the grain yield by 3.95 t/ha compared with recommended dose of NPK alone (3.88 t/ha)

2.Ragi

Under rainfed condition GPU 6 recorded higher yield of 2163 kg/ha and takes only 55 days for 50% flowering compared to others.

3. Pulses

In green gram, application of recommended fertilizer 12:5:25 kg of NPK/ ha + KCl (1%) + Micronutrient (0.5%) + Salicyclic acid (200 ppm) on 20,30,40 and 50 DAS recorded highest grain yield of 489 kg/ha compared to control 375 kg/ha Recommended fertilizer of 10:10:45 NPK + 5 t/ha coir waste + DAP 2% spray on 45 and 60 DAS increased groundnut pod yield of 2211kg/ha  compared to the control (693 kg/ha)

 4.Groundnut

Recommended fertilizer of 10:10:45 NPK + 5 t/ha coir waste + DAP 2% spray on 45 and 60 DAS increased groundnut pod yield of 2211kg/ha  compared to the control (693 kg/ha).

5.Horticulture

Application of composted coir waste 5 kg + phospho bacteria 5 kg +VAM 150g in pit increased the basal  diameter and growth of  Guava, Mango and Annona. Planofix spray @ 20 ppm increased  yield by 13% in chilli.

6.Silvi-Agri practice

Vagai and neem intercropped with arable crops (Sorghum, Cumbu, Green gram, Black gram, Cowpea, Cotton and Gingelly) found suitable for saline   tract.
