Farm Facilities
A land area of 28.48 acres was acquired and enter upon permission was obtained from the Tashildar, Uthamapalayam Taluk to carry out the basic and fundamental development activities to start a new Grapes Research Station.
- Chain link fencing around the 28.48 acres farm site boundary of Grapes Research Station was completed.
- Farms roads and path ways of 30 feet main approach, 20 feet farm road and 15 feet periphery road around the boundary was formed.
- Drilling of two nos. of 6 1/2’’ bore wells and installation of 10 hp and 3 hp submersible pump sets for lifting the irrigation water was completed.
- Development of trailing structure for grapes in 5 acres of land under pandal system was completed.
- Drip fertigation system for 5 acres of grape vineyard and 0.5 acres of clonal mother block nursery area was completed.
- Civil works on construction of grape pack house, farm storage godown, pack house, quality control laboratory and e-learning facilities (office cum laboratory building).
- Construction of ground level water tank with RCC cover slab was completed.
