To introduce and evaluate various grapes varieties / hybrids suitable for table, juice, wine and raisin purposes
To improve the grapes var. Muscat Hamburg (Panneer)
To undertake mass multiplication and distribution of grapes planting materials to the grapes farmers
To develop training and pruning modules
To standardize agro-techniques
To develop pre and post-harvest technologies to extend shelf-life and processing into value added products
To develop weather forecasting module for pest and disease management
To impart training to the extension officials through capacity building and field participatory research programmes
