• In horsegram, sowing in tractor drawn seed drill compared with broadcasting and line sowing increased the yield  by 22.9 per cent , due to the placing of  seeds in uniform depth that resulted in  early  germination. Reduction in seed rate as 11.46 kg/ha was also observed with mechanical sowing compared with broadcasting (20 kg/ha)
