Department of Food Policy and Public Health Nutrition
The Department of Food Policy and Public health Nutrition interfaces with the Food science and Nutrition and encompasses dietary, epidemiological, public health, social and biological aspects of nutritional science. Special attention of the department also include maternal and child nutrition, food policy, nutrition program planning and monitoring and evaluation. The department with its expert faculty implements the tri fold mandatory activity of the University as education, research and extension. The department has well equipped laboratory, competent faculty and learning facility for UG,PG and Ph.D students. The department also offers hi tech research facilities and conducts skill training programmes to promote entrepreneurship.
