Entrepreneurship Development Center
The EDP centre is equipped with food processing equipments and machineries such as murukku machine, sieving machine, mixture machine, steaming machine, tray wrapping machine, handy induction machine, continuous packing machine, nitrogen flush vacuum packing machine, pulverizer, extruder, milk extraction unit, alveiograph, lab model spray drier, lab model fluidized bed drier and baking oven for multi various activities of EDP Centre. These machineries have been installed in the newly established Entrepreneurship Development Center in the department of Extension Education and Communication Management at Community Science College and Research Institute, Madurai. In order to utilize these equipments, training to the SHG members and entrepreneurs was given. The Trained entrepreneurs can utilize these equipments for commercialization of the processed food products by paying reasonable rent for unit. It is also proposed to prepare publication about food technology which will be fruitful to public and thereby promoting processed food and promoting entrepreneurial skills as well.
Millet Food Court (MFC)
Sales outlet is necessary to sell the products prepared from VCS. Hence, this metal based sales outlet was made and placed in front of the main entrance of the campus. Every day a PUSM is selling the products and maintaining the other activities. A tasty Nutri milk is sold every day for Rs. 10/cup. The other products being sold are Nutri balls, Nutri mix, Fruit based drinks.
AV LAB
AV LAB is equipped with interactive panel system ,public address system with SLR Camera and Various types of Mikes .LCD and projector withwifi facilities are available for effective teaching On Communication Skill and Personality Development
