Short Bio
Dietician and Nutritional biochemist, I have done my post graduation in Food science and Nutrition and post doc in Biochemistry ( IISC, Bangalore). Additional qualifications are French and Odissi dance. Teaching experience of 27 years and research work includes , formulation and development of vegetable protein mixes, worked on anti- cancer drug, preservation of palmyrah fruit( Nungu)( for Tamil Nadu govt.),worked on development and evaluation of Liv.100 , an ayurvedic formulation( The Himalaya Drug Co.)andhave been a recognized guide for few universities . Other achievements are: Published an article on Myths and Facts of cooking oils in The Hindu ( newspaper). I have also won best paper presentation awards, presented posters at International conferences and was also invited speaker at a national seminar.
