The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has been granted a design patent for the Abrasive dehusker for moringa seeds by the Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Indian Patent Office. The device was developed by the Department of Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Engineering college and Research Institute, Coimbatore. As a gesture of congratulations, the Vice Chancellor of TNAU presented the patent certificates to the patent holders on 10 January 2024 in the presence of the Deans of SPGS and AEC&RI, Coimbatore.
