Dr. A. Narayanamoorthy [former Full-Time Member (Official), Commission for Agricultural Costsand Prices (CACP), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi] is currently working as Senior Professor and Head, Department of Economics and Rural Development,Alagappa University, Tamil Nadu, India.
Earlier, he worked with the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, India for about 14 years [1994-2008] and with the Madras Institute of Development
Studies, Madras for about one and a half years [1993-1994].
He has been working in the area ofagricultural and rural economics over the last 30 years. He specializes in the area of irrigation including
micro-irrigation and farm economics.
Dr. Narayanamoorthy has published 13 books (including books from, Oxford University Press, Routledge and Springer), three mimeographs and over 280 research
papers in international and national journals.
