About the Workshop
The workshop aims to introduce the principles in writing research proposals in the field of Social Sciences. The students are learning and getting basic knowledge in conducting research study through academic courses like research methodology, econometric analysis etc. Identifying research theme and narrowing down to realistic researchable issues are the major tasks in preparing research proposals. Reviewing the past studies is another major area where students are just listing out the studies done in their area of research. It is very important to inculcate the scholars that their research should add new literature in the areas of innovative analytical tools / methodology/ research design, etc. Hence it is essential to invigorate the PG and PhD scholars in preparing good research proposals and getting internship / fellowship /grants for their research. The proposed workshop is to provide the skills and tools they need to write a strong research proposal.
Content of the Workshop
It is planned to request the scholars to come with research proposals so that in hands on session they can make presentation. Comments on concepts, reviews, analytical tools, research design by the invited Experts will help the students to improve the quality of the research proposals.
