Technologies Developed
- Application of FeSO4 @ 50 kg/ha and ZnSO4 @ 25 kg/ha will maximize yield in Cumbu Napier hybrid grass
- Cenchrus + Desmanthus or Stylo at 3:1 ratio is the best intercropping system under rainfed condition
- Vertical planting of two budded Cumbu Napier hybrid stem cuttings is more economical and high yielding
- Soundal and Desmanthus seeds should be soaked in hot water at 80oC for 4-5 minutes for better germination
- Spraying Borax + ZnSO4 at 0.3% each at first flowering and 10 days later improves seed set by 20-30% in Lucerne
