The Library at Centre for Plant Breeding and Genetics was established by receiving funding support from the ICAR – CAFT in Genetics and Plant Breeding for PG Education and training programme leading to M.Sc. degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics since 1992. It has a wide collection of Books and Journals in the frontier area of Life Sciences- Agricultural Botany, Cytogenetics, Genetics, Quantitative genetics, Plant Breeding, Breeding field crops, Breeding methodologies, Heterosis, Evolution, Host plant Resistance for Pest and Diseases, Hybrid Rice Technololy, Biotechnology including Plant tissue culture techniques, Genetic Engineering, Molecular markers and crop improvement, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biotic and Abiotic stress improvement, Genomics, Seed science and Technology, Practical guides, Instant notes , MCQ, Books for Competitive exams etc. The Library has a collection of 891 Books, Breeding journals and Newsletters from different publishers.
