TAPIOCA
Yethapur Tapioca -1 Tapioca Yethapur-1 is released during the year 2013. This is the first tapioca variety released from TCRS, Yethapur. It can produce 49.5 t/ha of tuber yield with starch content (27%) and suitable for irrigated and rainfed condition. Moderately resistant to cassava mosaic virus disease. It is suitable for Salem, Erode, Namakkal, Perambalur, Dharmapuri and Cuddalore districts of Tamil Nadu.

Yethapur Tapioca -2 Tapioca Yethapur-2 is released during 2020 with better performance high tuber yield (6.28 kg/plant) and starch content (29.62%), with no visible symptom of CMD incidence. Adoption in Salem, Namakkal, Erode, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Dharmapuri and Trichy districts under irrigated conditions and rainfed conditions (with partial irrigations). Also under rainfed conditions in hilly tracts of Karumandurai of Salem district, Kolli hills of Namakkal district and Pachamalai hills of Perambalur district

CASTOR
Castor Hybrid YRCH -1 The YRCH 1 castor hybrid was released during the year 2009. This is one of the first hybrid released from TCRS, Yethapur with an average yield of 1861 kg/ha under rainfed ecosystem and oil content 49 per cent with the duration of 150-160 days. Suitable for rainfed and areas of limited irrigation potential which is most popular among the castor growing farmers in Tamil Nadu.

Castor Hybrid YRCH – 2
The YRCH 2 castor hybrid was released during the year 2017 with an average yield of 2089 kg/ha and oil content 49 per cent with the duration of 180 days. suitable for rainfed and areas of limited irrigation. Compact plant type suitable for Intercropping. Tolerant to semilooper, spodoptera, leaf hopper and capsule borer.

Castor Variety YTP 1 The Castor Variety YTP 1 was released during the year 2019 with an average yield of 1456 kg/ha and oil content 49 per cent with the duration of 115-120 days (First harvest). suitable for rainfed and areas of limited irrigation. Compact plant type suitable for intercropping system. Suitable for perennial system also. Resistant to Semilooper, Spodoptera, Thrips and Capsule borer
