Tapioca Yethapur – 1

Name Year of release Yield kg/ha Duration (days) Starch content (%) Traits for resistance to biotic stresses Recommended states
Tapioca Yethapur-1 2013 15 – 20 t/ ha under rainfed 30 – 40 t/ ha Irrigated 270 – 330 days 27 Cassava Mosaic Virus incidence is less than 20% and the grade is 1- 2. Tamil Nadu
  • Erect, tall growing and non branching type. The inter nodal length is shorter and the leaf size is bigger which provides self shading and reduces weed growth
  • Suitable for cultivation under irrigated condition and rainfed condition (with parrtial irrigation in the vegetative stage)
  • Planting season   November to January

Tapioca Yethapur – 2

Cassava Booster

Cassava Booster is the mixture of organic manure viz., cow dung, neem cake and biocontrol agent along with inorganic nutrients to overcome the CMD, nutritional deficiencies, increasing tuber yield and improving starch content in cassava.

Components of the booster and its special features

Components Special features
Cow dung Humic compounds and fertilizing bioelements are present in it and promotes the growth. Odour acts as a repellent for the insect vector.
Neem cake Contains macro and micro nutrients. Sulphur compound in neem cake has negative effect on insects. All the components in it are needed for the plant growth.
Biocontrol agent (Pseudomonas fluorescens/ Bacillus subtilis) It has a biopesticide property against seed and soil borne diseases and also produces metabolites related to growth promoting and preventing disease.
Macro nutrients Improves plant growth, development, induce some enzymes involved in disease resistance mechanisms.
Micronutrients Deficiency symptoms disappear and the plant develop normal leaves with high level of chlorophyll and involves in plant growth and development
  • Name of the Product : Cassava Tonic
  • Mode of application : Foliar spray
  • Stage of spray : Three spray at 2nd, 3rd and 4th month after planting

CASTOR

Castor Hybrid YRCH 1

Name Year of release Yield  kg/ha Duration (days) Oil content (%) Traits for resistance to biotic stresses Recommended states
Castor

YRCH 1

2009 1861 kg/ha under rainfed 3000 kg / ha Irrigated 150 – 160 days 49 Resistant to Green leaf hopper tolerant to wilt

Tamil Nadu

Resistant to lodging, non-shattering type, highly fertilizer responsive with semi dwarf plant ideotype. Suitable for rainfed and areas of limited irrigation potential. The plant type is compact and relatively short in stature and augurs well for intercropping system also in addition to pure cropping system. Another more important special attribute is that the time lag between any two different order of spike is less when compared to GCH 4. Hence it produces more number of spikes per unit time and finally the total duration is also less with the duration of 150-160 days.

Castor Hybrid YRCH 2

Name Year of release Yield  kg/ha Duration (days) Oil content (%) Traits for resistance to biotic stresses Recommended states
