B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)

The application of engineering in agriculture is mandatory for complete mechanization of agricultural farms. This programme provides the students with both theoretical and practical knowledge on engineering applications in agriculture. The curriculum involves courses in basic agriculture, basic engineering, soil and water conservation, farm machinery and power, food processing and renewable energy. The students can be able to shine in all fields and also the programme helps the students to transform themselves as a young entrepreneur. Also Tamil Nadu Agricultural University offers B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) with a curriculum designed particularly to cope up with industrial needs, with a view to mould the student’s job oriented and get better placements after graduation.

Why this program?

Student Experiences

Archana Jaivarshini, G.V. (2019 Batch)
The four year B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering) degree program focuses on engineering discipline that applies engineering sciences and technology to agricultural production and processing. The syllabus covers all the topics in depth. Especially in final year, we are allowed to present our projects and undergo internship trainings. Apart from these, there are industrial visits to attain practical knowledge and there are separate hours allotted for industrial visit. Experiential learning inside the campus is a great experience. The sophisticated infrastructure and laboratory facilities provide us wide scope for carrying out innovative projects.

Devidharshini. M. (2019 Batch)
