The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) had its genesis from establishment of an Agricultural School at Saidapet, Madras, Tamil Nadu, as early as 1868 and it was later relocated at Coimbatore.
Studying at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University means studying at a place with ambient surrounding. You can find excellent facilities in all the campuses. For example, play ground, indoor games hall, library and restaurant. University main campus is at the ‘Manchester of South India’, Coimbatore, a city surrounded by virgin nature viz., Anaikatti hills, Siruvani dam, Vaidegi falls, Maruthamalai Murugan temple, etc. Also the international and vibrant city offers plenty of corporate style entertainment. Like that all the other constituent colleges are flushed with greenery, farm lands and sufficient buildings. On the whole, the University is a home to students, staff and skilled workers of around 12,000 persons.
