The Masters programme in MBA (ABM) is a two year degree programme with the following objectives

  • The overall objective of the MBA programme is to develop professional managers with an ability to manage various functional areas of agribusiness enterprises, and government and non-government organizations in agriculture.

The specific objectives of the course are:

  • To develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of functional areas of management among the students of agriculture and allied sciences;

  • To make the students understand various features of agri-business environment (domestic and international)

  • To inculcate confidence for effectively using analytical tools for decision making in agribusiness 
  • To develop capabilities for formulating strategies for growth of the agribusiness organizations

Master’s in Agribusiness Management

Master Courses

The students undergo different courses in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Agribusiness, Operations, Human resource management, Supply chain and Statistics, for 55 credits. These courses help the students to specialise in agribusiness.  Case studies, and group discussions during the practical classes, inculcate analytical and decision-making skills.

Summer Internship

Internship in agribusiness firms is compulsory for students pursuing MBA(ABM). The students do internships in agribusiness firms for three months. Internships expose the students to real business scenarios in agribusiness and connect them with the corporate world.

Project work

The students do project work in companies in their final semester. The students help the firms to solve their issues through project work.
